Digital Video Noise Reduction

DVNR

The DVNR Image Processing system is a state of the art, modular product designed to meet the needs of telecine, linear and non-linear professional online facilities.  A dedicated control panel provides instant access to a variety of functions, making image processing as quick, simple and intuitive as possible.

DVNR system is ideally suited to bringing out the best qualties of the the film medium, as well as blemish removal and grain reduction.

The [DVNR] digitally-based noise reduction tool is designed for negative and positive dirt removal. To this end, it performs well, but it does have some limitations. Anomalies that are more than a single frame in duration - for example scratches - are difficult for the DVNR to remove. For these problems, and artefacts such as film stains, we use a DRS [Digital Restoration Service] system by called MTI.

DRS

Our highly trained artists and technicians utilize the DRS system to remove positive and negative dirt, hair, chemical stains, watermarks, film tears, splices, scratches and other film blemishes. The DRS system also can fix digital video pixel hits as well as TBC line fills and any other analogue or digital video originated artifacts. The DRS software works equally well on both animation and live action content. Virtually any film or digital problem can be fixed using DRS and the process is absolutely artifact free.
